Polian on Gurley’s knee: ‘It’s a concoction’

Bill Polian was all over this on SiriusXM just now. He basically blew the whole knee arthritis thing off. I mean, he was worse than a1.

He said the Rams knew all about his knee from day 1. They knew it when they gave him the extension. He said this stuff is managed all the time and he’s had plenty of players like that. Mentioned Thurman Thomas, I think. They play for years. The Rams aren’t worried, and he bets they have injury clauses in the contract that lets them out if something happens. He said Gurley is a very good player, what are gonna do not pay him. That’s dumb. He also said, now will he last another 6 years? Probably not, but RBs usually don’t.

He said this is all much ado about nothing, and it’s all drummed up by the lunatics. Then ended it with, it’s a phony concoction.
