But as I said, the media (when lumped together) has respect and trust on about the same level as Congress. This is just the data, not opinion.

You may trust the media in general, I don't. I think the media is now about on the level of used car salesmen. They'll do or say anything in the name of "it's just my job". And, just like used car salesmen, every now and then you stumble upon an honest, authentic, and genuine one as the exception to the rule.
