I hearby allege that you have disrupted my civil liberties because it makes me feel nervous and insecure when you disagree with me.
I also hearby allege that this Board has displayed age discrimination against me because a few months ago I had a post deleted and now I also feel fearful. In fact, this looks to me like a breech of Constitutionally protected free speech.
You just keep making my point for me.
I can allege things in my sleep about anything and anyone.
But if I decided to sue you because of my allegation, does that make it right or legitimate just because I can? How about I have such deep pockets that I go ahead and sue this Board for $1 million for my age discrimination allegation, knowing that the Admin will have no choice but to disband and dismantle because they don't have the coin to hire a lawyer and fight it in court?
He!! no it doesn't make any sense. It would be frivolous and vindictive all the way. And I would certainly hope that the first judge who saw this tapped his gavel, had a good belly laugh, and said everybody go home. But I'd give that no more than a 50/50 chance in today's jurisprudence environment.
The entire lawsuit revolves around a non-called penalty in an NFL football match. What difference does it make what kind of whacky allegation some yo-yo fan thought up and some equally yo-yo attorney took on? That a court (read idiot judge) would even give serious consideration no matter what it is, is beyond the pale of rationality.
It's like several good writers have been saying lately in opinion pieces: the rise of intellectualism to near divine status has led to the demise of common sense. And that is precisely what is at play here.
