The observations reported in this thread make a lot of sense considering his pre-draft scouting reports. Most reports mention his intelligence and work ethic so perhaps the light goes on this year. Several also mention that he played MLB in college and has that potential at this level, but IMO the Rams have him locked in at OLB. I guess if he isn't part of the rotation at OLB they can move him inside, but that doesn't seem likely to me.

Biggest concern:
Needs to do a better job of finishing tackles.
Misses tackles in open space at times, finished 2016 with 9 missed tackles.
Gets too aggressive and will lose contain on occasion.
Very unorthodox pass-rushing footwork with false steps and short choppy stride.
Would like to see improved hand usage as he is mostly winning with bend and athleticism.

Neg:
Slow locating the ball and must improve his instincts. Easily engulfed at the point or ridden from his angle of attack. Often times pins his ears back and rushes up the field, taking himself out of the play.
