First off, for a guy that (we can forget) was a late 4th round pick he has played well overall through two years. And I think he has room for growth in year three- possibly with the help of Matthews.
As a rookie he played just under 12 snaps/game before their bye week and just under 30/game after. He produced as a pass rusher with 2.0 sacks and 5 QB hits. But then in 2018 he gets almost double the playing time (43 snaps/game) but the productivity really didn't follow suit (3.0 sacks, 6 QB hits). But he did have 6 TFL and 3 forced fumbles. He made plays, just not consistently enough.
I think he's a change-of-pace, situational pass rusher. And with Matthews there that's more a role he can play. As others have said he can get caught being too aggressive and will miss tackles or lose contain. What are the "situations" he's best suited to play? I don't know. But I think he can excel as a contributor that plays roughly 25 snaps/game and is a core special teams player. And again, as the 125th pick in the Draft in 2017 that's good value.
