I understand how impressive he was...... in college. Running QBs always are.
It kind of cracks me up the way that a QB who rushes for a 1000 yards suddenly isn't really a running QB because supposedly he's a good pocket passer.
Why would the coach say they may run shotgun only? It's the best way for a 5'10" QB to get a couple of seconds to look over the top of the line because taking snaps from center and dropping back is tough for a QB that short. And, shotgun gives that QB the ability to roll out of trouble and to move side to side to find a passing lane...... and of course to run.
Sure, it's possible that Murray is the next Russell Wilson. But it's more probable that he's not.
Wilson is a rare bird..... and he's really thick. He's built like a LBer. Same height as Murray but he packs 225 lbs. of muscle on that frame.
Not against Murray at all. Just my opinion based on the year in, year out balley-hoo attached to some QB coming out who has a good arm and even better legs. And, where are they now? Certainly not in the Superbowl.
