Tell me of a college QB who rushed for 1000 yards, and became a Pro pocket passer?
When it's in your DNA to run, you just run instinctively.
Murray didn't amass 1000 yards rushing in his senior year because he's a pocket passer. Besides: a 5'10" QB has a harder time than taller QBs seeing over the line. This is why the NFL standards want a 6'4" QB.
I'm not saying that Murray isn't accurate in the pocket. I'm saying that like Wilson, he often has a hard time finding passing lanes because he has a hard time seeing over the lines.
He will run because that's who he is. And as a result the risk factors of injury climb exponentially.
To answer your first question. Russel Wilson. He's a pretty fine pocket passer right? Wilson has thrived because running is not the only thing he does well.
As far as this whole running instinctively thing, it's simply not true. Completely false! Have you watched him play?
He is NOT a run first QB. It's important to go by facts of his specific game and not just one's subjective and pre-determined judgments. If you actually watched him play you would see that he hangs in the pocket for quite a long time. Instinctive runners are those who quickly bail out.
That's not Murray.
