THE only reason I am not a fan of drafting a bellcow back in the first round before having your franchise QB is that the shelf life of a RB is so short.
Its actually a good idea to have talented WRs and TEs already on the roster because it actually takes WRs and TEs a few years to get up speed in the NFL. WRs have like a 3 year curve. WRs and TEs have a longer shelf life then RBs. For most RBs its all downhill once you hit 30, not so much the case for WRs, WRs hit their peak at 26-27, and then steadily decline until 34 when they drop off the cliff.
