Barron was 6'1, 213 when drafted and at LB went up to 230.
Rapp is more like 5'11 though he's listed at 6'0, and is 208. I doubt he could get to 230. But either way he isn't the same kind of physical guy Barron was. He's a great tackler but is not the pure physical intimidator Barron was.
Anyway, I wasn't disputing that sometimes DBs become LBs in 3/4 defenses. I was just saying I don't think Rapp will. And he will see time on the field. Christian and Countess combined had 406 defensive snaps in 2018. They play nickel and dime subpackages more than they play base D.

I don't. You don't. Barron was drafted as a safety some SOMEONE maybe thought he could play safety in the NFL. We will see but Rapp being great in college does not mean he will be a safety in the NFL... a 4.8 time is not too good. So, I prefer to wait until the season to see what happens. I won't rule anything in our out based on college. I still say he will play in Barron's spot a lot. Next to Cory.
