and that heartened me a bit more I must say.
Still, Gaines was ...what?...the 5th player selected...I kinda thot that strategy in a DL rich draft woulda been to get a NT earlier since he'd be a starter - in effect and not the substitute players(for now) Rapp, Henderson, Long, Evans....all bench & package depth til they get their chance...while the NT is a starting open position.
I dunno, I just woulda thot they'd put that higher on the list but maybe there wasn't the draft talent OR...
they had players that were as good on the team already to make it less of a priority.
