Honestly, any analysis of this that singles Goff out in any way strikes me as missing the point.

McVay did not just put the blame on himself because he was being tactful or the football version of politically correct.

According to his own analysis the major culprits in the last game were prep (which is on the coaches) and the gameplan and the playcalling.

I assume that BOTH McVay and Goff will keep growing and learn from it when they stumble. So I am not one of those who is into dark ominous portentious warnings and so on. I'm not going well they BETTER GET WITH IT or any of that.

I just assume that since they have before they will again.
