McVay and the OL and Goff without a 100% Gurley went up against a tough smart defense in the superbowl, a defense that had the offensive playcalling figured out, and all of a sudden the 3rd year qb isn't maturing fast enough?
All I can say about that is, there are always different views, and there will always be someone who sees it your way. Taking portions of things and acting like it;s the whole picture.
Nothing personal but I completely differ on this, My own take on it is that it is hyperbole that gets hyper-focused on one player at the expense of a genuine analysis.
That's really how I feel.
AND to go back to my first post in this thread, McVay did NOT say the things attributed to him. He's not this passive aggressive ducker who is going to go on national tv and throw his qb under the bus, especially when he knows that the real issue in that game was a 2nd year young coach being outcoached by a savvy top veteran defensive coach. I would think far less of him if he did not honestly own up to that, but no worries, he DID own up to it.
