I'm not sure what sort of market there will be for him. I don't see anyone looking at him as a starting solution. On the surface his stats don't seem terrible yet among QBs the past three years with1,000+ attempts
he is rated dead last. So....
But to me a QB with 70+ starts and 2,500+ pass attempts would be a great addition for the Rams. Who knows where his head is and what sort of ego he has. Would he take a $2.5M, one-year deal plus incentives to"reset" as others have said? Learn from McVay and co.? Maybe. I would definitely call his agent if I am Snead.
Some can say backup QB is a waste of money but I disagree. If your starter goes down your season is over unless you're one of 3-5 teams every year that have an actual decent backup option. I am OK drafting a QB late on day 3 if they think the value is good but it's delusional to think any QB taken outside the top 80ish in any Draft will be read to be a week 1 QB2.
By the way, Jacksonville will eat a $16.5M cap hit when they release him...
