Yes...better than Mannion....BUT....

at this stage a 2nd rounder for us needs to be a vet probably.....cuz a rookie will take a long time to get reps away from Goff at this stage. However, that 3rd QB is where I think they draft and let him learn and watch from Goff & the Vet behind Goff.

The 2nd string QB just needs to KNOW the NFL already when he comes in. imo

Now....is Bortles that guy??? I sure think McVay would design better/easier throws for Bortles than what he got from the OC in Jax...so, that a plus.
Bortles is a very good athlete and has some legs to get outta trouble unlike Goff...who is wretched when moving outta the pocket. imo
Bortles is a good enough passer to make the throws to move this offense...but Bortles is not the passer that Goff is. imo

I think McVay likes his QBs a little more mobile than Goff, personally.

It's an interesting thought actually...all about the price of Bortles tho...but an interesting thot indeed, bro.
