Definitely, Speed.
And the Saints, Vikings, Seahawks, and maybe the Cowboys are no pushovers, either.
McVay has to rethink his O philosophy this offseason and make some FA and draft decisions accordingly.
One thing is for sure. Our ‘19 opponents will make every effort to copycat the Patriots, Bears, Eagles, and even the Lions schemes as best they can with their respective personnel when they play us. McVay must have his counter moves already in place beforehand.
One other thing that hasn’t been mentioned all that much. Belichick’s deception in the SB with the 2 different looks presented to Goff during the first 15 seconds then changing at the snap was tremendously effective. It was a huge part of reducing the Ram O from it’s 33 point average to an anemic 3 points! This will be copycatted, too. McVay/Goff have to somehow find a way to turn this against the defenders.
The chess game never ends in the NFL, does it?
