I'm going to be Captian obvious Everett was over drafted as the 2nd round pick that year . He is more of a complentary piece not a starter .
Add to that McVay changed his philosophy or at least his TE dominant play calling as he had in Washington because he had more WR here than TE talent.

Now the question do we spend another draft choice or free agent money if we aren't going to feature any TE in this offence even when plays are there?.
If we get a TE maybe he should be a Cory Harkey or Roland Williams type .
The best blocking TE in the league who'll catch 10-20 passes and score 5 times around the goal line.
Unless McVay bumps up plays to TE as a primary there's almost no point to getting a new piece unless he's a blocker TE-FB ala' Harkey or Jeff Robinson both of whom were great at what they did.
Kinda ferocious lol.
