I think they ran CJ more because TG had physical issues. Period.
If it were simply a matter of the scheme (and I don't think it IS), then the Rams would be negligent for not running a scheme that favored Gurley more.
It makes no sense for them to say, I want to use this scheme and if you do THAT CJ is better. That's bad coaching.
Instead they should go "what scheme suits Gurley." That's the way they claim to operate anyway. It's not pre-determined schemes, it's build it around your players and what they can do.
Either way that's academic, since the REAL issue is that CJ got more touches than TG recently because of physical issues with TG.
Ignoring that factor (physical issues) is an old thing with certain sports writers.
