First off, other than AD, Littleton, NRC, and JJ, nothing seems completely off the table on the Ram D.
Some moves might be highly unlikely, true, but still not absolutely off the table.
Opportunities in trades and FA might present themselves that we can’t even imagine right now. Did anyone see Cooks, Talib, Peters, and Suh coming last year at this time? Me neither. So speculation is clearly premature right now. But heck, it’s fun, so why not?
Here’s my swag, fwiw:
Suh is gone.
Brockers stays but might be asked to take a pay cut.
Barron likely gone.
Fowler is extended if he’s halfway reasonable about his demands. He’s won me over.
Peters is 50-50 to be here next season. I think it could go either way.
Joyner is a goner.
CJ might stick, if reasonable. Very impressive teammate and very impressive production.
Malcolm Brown is extended if CJ leaves, otherwise he’s gone. Can’t afford both.
Saffold will be extended almost for sure. Makes a ton of sense for both sides.
Whit will start next year, but Boom will be gradually phased in and might even be the starter toward season’s end.
Sully will start but may similarly be phased out as the season winds down.
I don’t see Mannion as our backup next year. S&M surely gave a better plan for ‘19.
Gonna be heavy on FA and the draft on D this offseason. Could possibly be as many as 7 new starters on D next year. Minimum of 4 new starters.
