To say that if A happens, then B and C are certain to happen is what makes sports betting houses big losers at times.
The reality is that there are the inexplicable butt fumbles; a holding penalty; a chip shot FG that is missed......
It ain't over till it's over. Watch the Dolphins beat the Pats with the most improbable last play that went on for 6 or 7 seconds after the game clock ran out.
Is what I'm saying likely? No. But....weird stuff happens all the time. So to assume that the Saints are in the Superbowl if that PI is called is simply speculation. What guarantee is it that the ball even caught?
Think Bellicheck would have tried to run a slant on 1st down inside the 20 with the clock running down to 2 minutes? Heck no. He would have run. Then when Payton DID run on 2nd down and Kamara was stuffed, the next smart move would be to run again and force the Rams, again, to use another TO. But no.....the arrogant moron had to call a pass.
It was as badly called 3 plays with the game on the line as I've seen since Atlanta and the Pats.
But even worse, the Saints D couldn't hold the Rams for the last 1:40 of the game.
And then couldn't march the ball down the field in OT.
After the INT the Rams played it safe, smart, and won the game.
