HUGE tell by Payton as to his playcalling....@ the 5:30 mark...

listen to Payton's mindset....he was NOT gonna run the ball and waste time and kick a FG.
HE WAS NOT GOING TO DO THAT...as most folks/pundits say he was gonna do to ice the game. And it showed by him throwing on 1st down.

So, folks that think the game was in the bag if they got the PI call...were not accurate as to Payton's thinking.
Why does that matter???? Cuz anything can happen...and anything DID...just to the Saints. Regardless of the PI noncall they went ahead by 3pts and were gonna win...cept the Rams took the ball down the length of the field and scored to put it in OT...then the Saints won the toss and coulda pulled a Brady special and drove down and scored - as all HoF QBs do....but they didn't. Fowler hit Brees and caused a INT...and we moved the ball and kicked the FG to win it.

sorry, but the non INT call does not guarantee the Saints were gonna win...even if they had gotten the call.
Games never come down to one play....let alone one non-call penalty.

ANYTHING coulda happened for the Saints on that coulda lost them the game...and it did.
