I’m a big believer in letting players relax and recharge their batteries, both mental and physical, during their measly one week bye. It was a big help for me during my working years.
So, I couldn’t care less how much Goff, or anyone else chose to spend their Thanksgiving Week bye.
Here’s the real reason for the slump. The Lions, Bears, and Eagles all changed their D schemes to counter the Ram O, catching McVay and Goff by surprise. Especially after the recent loss of Kupp and with Gurley hurting. McVay was the one slow to adjust, IMO. And heaven knows that McVay doesn’t overly “chill” when he has a week off.
I think that this Goff “chill” topic is a nothing burger if considered the reason for Goff’s 3 game difficulties. The one has little to do with the other, IMO.
