this is the "face of your franchise". He is the leader. He touches the ball most often. He has to be a coach on the field.
People are comparing Goff to some of the all time great QBs already and he hasn't earned that type of respect IMO. If you're going to be great IMO, the season is the season.
Just like in business, everybody gets a vacations...time off. But, the leaders, while they may not be in the office, they are in some way working. That's my point about Goff.
Take a day off...but I think he should be the hardest worker on the team...and work more often. Chilling for days is not the right answer IMO. Couple that with his fall off in play after the bye...not good.
I do understand what you're saying and I see your point. During the week 12 bye week, this is what Aaron Donald said he'd be doing:
A handful of players shared their plans for the bye week, and most of them will be staying in the area spending time with family. Aaron Donald, unsurprisingly, will be working out and watching film.
“I’ll be here, nothing special,” he said. “Just over here keeping my body healthy and staying in the film room.”This is kind of what you'd hope to hear from Jared Goff as well rather than "just chillin'". Point made.
