Reynolds woulda had a good shot at it if it were thrown 2 feet lower. imo
THAT was all on Goff...all of it.
We just disagree on this one.
I agree as well. If that ball were low and away, toward the sideline, Reynolds had boxed out the defender and was in perfect position for a sideline throw. Considering neither the defender or Reynolds were able to even lay a finger on where it was actually thrown, I can't agree with the idea that it was perfectly thrown. When one adds to that the fact that Goff was way off on all of his throws to Reynolds in the end zone, none of it adds up to giving him the benefit of doubt on that play.
Goff was either seeing things differently than Reynolds or was just off. That last play was perfect for a back shoulder/down and away type throw that would give Reynolds a lot of opportunity but still keep it away from the defender. I don't like the high throw because it's a lot more low percentage. Reynolds would have to go up strong, catch it with strong hands and then come down and still hang onto it with the defender swiping at it. I'd much rather see him box out, go low and away and just have to focus on catching it.
