I know that the one knock on McVay from fans in Washington was that he wasn't patient with the run, but let's hope going forward he's learned. Skins did run double TE sets, but both Reed & Davis will never be mistaken for being great blockers, that's why he traded for Derrick Carrier last season. The key against the likes of the Bears and Eagles is to keep pounding away, to set up other things, takes away there ability to pin their ears back with Everett & Higbee also being able to create mismatches against their linebackers.

Just wait until the talking heads catch onto McVays use of 12 personnel and then act so smart about it as they impart their wisdom to us lowly fans. If the Rams beat the Bears in the playoffs, that’s what we’ll hear.
It’s obvious that we don’t want Goff throwing the ball 40 times. We want to be a running team that allows Goff to surgically slice up defenses off of play action, especially in the playoffs. I don’t need Cosell or some other buffoon on ESPN to tell me that.
