our defense had showed no sign of being able to stop KC. plus the penalty on first down rquired then to get 15, not 10. so if you run the ball (with them know the run is coming) you likely go 3 and out and give mahommes the ball with about a minute no timeouts. if im mcvay, i want no part of that. in contrast, the rams offense was pretty unstoppable. if you get a first down running or throwing, the game is over. i have no problem with mcvay being aggressive, although i think i would have given the ball to gurley.
