Yes-the Rams are building support here. That will continue. Good. Nevertheless, to compare So. Cal. with New York or other venues is misguided. California is the largest economy in the United States and 5th in the world. And most of that economy is focused here in So Cal. Add in the weather and all the entertainment options you will have people coming here every single day. They bring their allegiance. The evidence is that far more people transition to this area than to New York or any other NFL venue. All those Packer fans were not going to the airport after the game- they were driving home to their neighborhood right here in So Cal where most of us live. If the Giants come here to play it will be the same-regardless if its the Coliseum or the new stadium. It surely doesn't mean Ram fans are not good fans. We are just as rabid as Packer fans or any NFL fan for that matter. It's just that this area is far different than any other NFL venue. And that won't change until the sun refuses to come out and it becomes cold and we have to buy snow shoes. I look at it this way: the Coliseum is not the Rams stadium it is more like the" NFL" stadium. I'm also positive that's how our owner looks at it as well-why shouldn't he ? So the point here is that you can't compare the Coliseum crowd with stadium crowds throughout the NFL. The NFL is here-not in New York, Dallas, or any other venue- if one considers the makeup of NFL fans that live here. For many that's frustrating. Understandable. OTOH for many, many, years while the Rams were here and in St. Louis and were not good (and maybe terrible) there were far more Packer, Giant, Chicago, even Niner fans living here that could care less about "the @#$%&". Getting them to convert now is really, really difficult. Sort of like the movie Cast Away where Hanks is in love with woman. He's lost at sea and an island due to a plane crash. After several years he returns to his girlfriend who has remarried not expecting him to ever return. And she's quite happy with her life as it is.

BTW: In Cast Away there is a scene that involves the St. Louis Rams-I dare anybody to come up with it.
