Goff was outplayed by Rodgers according to some, which is weird considering Goff had more yards, 3 to 1 TD ratio and a better QBR. And he led a 4th qtr comeback. I don't buy the rattled thing either, I even read an article tonight on PFT that mentioned Rodgers being rattled in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

The Rams scored 29 points and in reality it should have been 36. Against a defense that was rested and had 2 weeks to gameplan, but the offense looked off? OK

No one mentions the monster game Gurley had. Ran for 114 and caught another 81. Another ho hum 200 yard performance...

As far as the defense, they had a safety, 3 sacks and hit Rodgers 8 more times. And gave up 106 total rushing yards.

Peters looks lost in this defense, he cannot glare at Johnson for not having his man when he was busy covering the TE. And that dumb formation that resulted in the 33 yd TD run from Thompson better not be seen again. You cannot have your DTs lined up on the outside shoulder of the OGs and only 1 LBer (Littleton) to navigate all that space in-between (and he was not nosed up on the OC, but shaded to the OCs left) leaving no one to stop a RB until the 3rd level. It was like some weird Wide 9 look. Gross.

As far as the offense, the line struggled and without Kupp and the Packers basically dropping 6 and rushing 5 all game, it was difficult to pass, but I will give Goff credit, he hung in there.

As far as N.O. goes, double up Thomas and IDC if they have to run blitz to do it, but they cannot let Kamara and Ingram gash you up the middle. If it were me, I would move Littleton outside with Samson and let Ramik or Kiser man the inside next to Barron. But then again, what do I know.

Agreements and disagreements.

Yes both Goff and Rodgers were rattled at different points, or shakey, or less effective than normal under defensive pressure. (I don't care which word it is.) I think that's because the Rams figured out the GB defensive attack by the 2nd half while at the same time the Rams adjusted their defensive attack IN the 2nd half. Until the Rams adjusted on offense, yes they were off, and they themselves said so. Here's Saffold on that for example: “The (Packers) disguised some pressures,” offensive guard Rodger Saffold said. “They could cause some problems. But at the end of the day, it’s, ‘How are we going to pick them up, how are we going to adjust,’ and we were able to adjust." From here: Adjustments up front reboot Rams offense in crucial victory over Packers [www.dailynews.com] A good summary from the same article: The pocket, through one quarter, was under siege. The league’s most explosive offense grinded to a halt, as Goff barely had time to set his feet before blitzing Packers beared down on him. And then they fixed it. That description corresponds to what I saw.

Gurley had a great game after being stymied early. I posted that he was the hero of that game.

I agree about the defensive play you criticized, with Littleton alone covering the inside.

I agree that Goff hung in there and came out of a tough patch firing. I think all the "Jared the Iceman" stories are true. That's who he is.

Glad someone else has the idea of moving CL outside and putting Kiser or Hager inside. CL is smallish a bit for an every down OLB but then that has worked before (Greg Lloyd with the Steelers for example). I agree, he's a playmaker and needs to get more direct attack responsibilities instead of how they use him now. He played some DE in college, of course, so he has enough stuff to move him around that way.
