Two acquaintances... not really friends.... when I was congratulating their kids about playing a good game... said this, (paraphrased) - "Your Rams are great this year. Man, if they don't win the SB it's going to bad".
Obviously they meant that as a compliment.... but both times it was like getting hit in the face with a bucket of ice water... I recoiled, (noticeably I think)... and ended the conversations abruptly.
I don't really talk Rams with friends.... never been a smack talker, no interest in it whatsoever. I like congratulations... like anyone... but I prefer, "Congratulations, the Rams are doing well"... and leave it at that. - JamesJM
They have a young good qb, a young great head coach, and Aaron Donald--arguably the best performer in any sport in all human history, past present and future (yes kidding on Donald....a bit).
If they don't go to this superbowl they will go to another sooner or later.
It's not like McVay is going to dump Goff because Goff's wife criticizes him on the radio. Or some crazy made-up scenario like that.
