Your statement caused me to wonder: what about some of the historic stadiums out there? I don't seem to hear a lot of complaining about them. Now maybe, that's just because I'm not a fan of those teams, but I can't remember anyone ever saying, "Man, when are they ever going to move out of that outdated Lambeau Field?"
Some examples of rather "historic" stadiums that seem to keep chugging along without bad press.
- Soldier Field (built 1924, renovated 2003) -- Chicago Bears
- Lambeau Field (built 1957, renovations 2001-03, 2012-15) -- Green Bay Packers
- Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum (built 1966, renovated 1995-96, but granted the Raiders are moving) -- Oakland Raiders
- Arrowhead Stadium (built 1972, renovated 2007-2010) -- Kansas City Chiefs
- New Era Field (built 1973, renovated 1998, 2013) -- Buffalo Bills
- Mercedes-Benz Superdome (built 1975, renovations 2006-2011) -- New Orleans Superdome
