This site credits Goff with '2' Fourth Quarter Comebacks, 2 Game-Winning Drives' but I can't find how many opportunities he's had.
The sites tracks two separate stats - both 4th quarter comeback
and game winning drives. At first I thought they were reporting Goff's feats in 4 games but it is really just 2. (i.e. he had both a 4th quarter comeback and a game winning drive against the Titans on 12/24/17, and pulled the same double against the Seahawks on 10/07/18.)
That's the problem with PRF's Comeback/GWD stats.
They just tell you when they credit a guy with one.
They don't tell you how many times the qb was in that situation.
It would be far more illuminating if they gave percentages. So qb X was in this situation y number of times and his team wins z percentage of them.
So for example Goff was also in that situation (behind by surmountable lead in the 4th quarter) against Seattle in 2017 and Phil in 2017.
Some might count Washington and Atlanta but that gets us into gray areas IMO.
So if we give him the 2017 Tenn game and the 2018 Seattle game, and on the negative side there's Seattle 2017 and Phil 2017, then, that means in the last 2 years he's at 50%.
And 50% is a very good rate for that. Though just 4 games in just 2 years, it's hard to draw any solid conclusions from that.
