A Review of Carson Wentz's Nine Career Game Winning Drive Opportunites

October 22, 2018 01:18PM
I happened across this article and thought it was interesting since in the 2016 draft the board was pretty split between Goff and Wentz. For the record, I was in the Wentz camp but now I'm glad we have Goff.

As for the article, the "game winning drive" is a big criteria in evaluating the "eliteness" of NFL QBs and Wentz's record in that area isn't good. That's not to say it won't improve as his career continues and I'm not posting this in an attempt to disparage him or start a Goff vs. Wentz debate. I do think it's interesting though as he could have been a Ram.

I haven't seen a similar article or stats for Goff.
