If the point of all of this is to say that Everett is a disappointment, that's OK. I'm not sure why one limited production draft pick warrants all of this sturm und drang. But, OK.

Still, a discussion of any TE needs to look at blocking. And I don't see that. Confession: I have little sense of Everett as a blocker. I'll try to take a look.

And the thread surely makes more wide ranging claims than just about Everett.

You know, they say that OL toil in obscurity for the most part. But when they are looked at, the focus is on their blocking.

Even more underappreciated is the value to an offense of a TE's capability as a blocker. It's almost impossible to get a discussion focused on that.
