Maybe I'm imagining things, but...
Under normal circumstances, in that fateful 4th-and-one situation, Goff would set himself behind the center, survey the field, shout a few words or numbers, and accept the football. Meanwhile, the defenders would gird themselves for action. It seemed to me, however, that in this instance Goff arranged with his linemen to go on a quicker count than normal, meaning the defensive linemen might not have been 100 percent ready, and that might have helped a lot to make the play a success. (This is not to take away credit from Hav and others).
