Consider the sources.
Sounds like a cabal of the admittedly formidable defense was somewhat jealous of whatever credit Wilson got for the victories.
They wanted to be known as the stars and authors of Seattle success.
I've seen only a very few QB's have the remarkable and early success that Russel Wilson had.
He came into the NFL so savvy and ready even as a rookie.
And despite the relative success that the Rams had against him, my impression watching Seattle closely is that there are ton of games they wouldn't have won without his Houdini-like escapability and his penchant for making a big throw just when they need it most.
It was never more obvious than in 2017. That would have been a 4-12 team with an ordinary pocket QB.
Wilson almost single-handedly carried them to most of their wins behind an absolute shambles of an offensive line.
How fragile can he be?
Is he aloof? Yeah, that I can believe.
Does he not fit in culturally with a lot of the other players?
Yeah, that I can believe.
But great QB's are a franchise's #1 on field asset. PERIOD.
And if Sherman et al don't understand that, then they'll never get why he's still there and they're gone.
Ramily!
