Don't rely on the so called experts and don't rely on other posters, either. Do the math yourself and draw your own conclusion. Start with overthecap.com and project what Goff, Peters, etc. will cost in the future and see for yourself if it will work or not. Once you do this exercise on your own you will sleep well knowing that the Rams' cap future is fine.
Not to mention how much the cap will increase by the time Goff gets his deal.
Btw, Goff seems like the kinda guy who won't try to squeeze a team for a max deal.... I think he just wants to win and will probably do some Brady type deals to keep this team competitive
Brady didn't do Brady deals until his 4th contract. Players cash in on their 2nd contract and Brady certainly did. So will Goff.
The players you see giving hometeam discounts when up for contracts are not doing it on 2nd contracts. On his 2nd and even his 3rd contract, Brady absolutely cashed in. His 2010 contract made him the highest paid player in the league.
