The Rams didn't care if they won this game and it really doesn't matter. I think they just wanted to throw the bottom of the roster out there and see what they had, which it turns out didn't look all that promising save for a few guys. I respect Speed's take but I tend to think it wasn't a matter of intensity, rather just a lower talent level going against a higher talent level. After all, Peyton had some 1s and 2s playing into the 2nd half.
It's not just that they didn't care if they won, they didn't care if they played well.
I don't even think they were scouting players.
I think they were just stuck having to play a 4th preseason game and it was an afterthought in every single way.
