I think more than lack of scheme fit, Quinn isn't a Ram because he couldn't stay healthy and he was very expensive.
As far as scheme fit, Easley has always been better against the run in his limited snaps than Quinn was. Quinn was only a pass rusher; he didn't do anything else well.
It remains to be seen if Easley can drop back into coverage but I wouldn't assume that he's not a better scheme fit than Quinn. They are two different players.
