I strongly believe they keep Gurley over Peters. And Goff is as close to a sure thing as you can get.
If they get cute with Donald, and lose him, then they can keep Peters and maybe Suh.
Maybe that’s what they’re considering. If they don’t extend Donald soon, my bet is that they are planning for him to bolt and will live with it.
Let’s take a deep breath here...
Obviously, we’re both speculating at this point, but here’s what my crystal ball tells me.
AD is gonna be a Ram for 3 years, at least, possibly with tags but more likely because of a legit extension. Talk of his refusing to report in ‘19 aren’t particularly credible.
Peters is almost certain to be extended. Not only has he already cost a 2nd, but he is a cornerstone (pun intended) for Wade’s dream D. Gonna happen.
Gurley is a very strong want, but not a certainty. If he’s gonna ask for the kind of money Bell is asking, then Gurley is a goner probably via a tag and trade.
Talib, Suh, Saffold, Hav, and JB are all iffy. Might be enough money for Hav and/or JB, but that’s probably it. They want to keep them all, of course, but not at the expense of AD, Peters, and Gurley.
Yup, that’s what my crystal ball is saying, and I recently replaced the batteries. Lol.
