I agree with a lot of the other stuff. A lot of it is funny (many people were way too worried about Goff last summer I thought.)
And people did ask those questions about Gurley, and he did answer them during the season.
But to be fair there was something wrong with Gurley in 2016. McGinnis even said TG was playing hurt. He started working out in the off-season later than usual (that's according to him), lost weight, never practiced all summer, and lost a lot of the explosion and power he had in 2015. Reputable national analysts were noticing this and wondering out loud what the difference was. There were also key stats having to do with RB performance that reflected the difference. For example he was stuffed behind the LOS the same percentage of the time in both 2015 and 2016, but unlike 2015 dropped in production when past the LOS (where he would be getting yards on his own).
And...as we all know, he clearly bounced back in 2017.
