If people question what Rams management is doing...there is an agenda.
If people revere Rams management....there is no agenda.
This organization is not New England. They have proven nothing. Actually, I find it more interesting to read the point/counterpoint.
I understand and agree that we are not NE and have had some questionable FO things go on but when someone constantly throws out the "Rams are LOWBALLING AD" stuff without knowing what all is going on behind closed doors...IMO that is an agenda.
I never said the Rams ARE lowballing AD. What I always say about the current offer is that we don't know the numbers, and we don't know who is responsible for the delay--is it AD? is it the Rams? Is it both? Or maybe there is no problem? I say that consistently every thread this comes up, usually more than once in fact.
If you quote me on using the term "lowball," it will never be "The Rams
ARE lowballing." I don't say that because we don't know the numbers. I wouldn't know if they are or not so I certainly don't say they are.
Usually I use the word in reference to the tag amount and the possibility that
if he isn't signed after this season, the Rams might try to tag him. I say it's that
the tag number that is a lowball compared to AD's market value (which is just true). But then discussing the tag now is all hypothetical. That won't come up, if it comes up at all, till after 2018. The future possibility of a tag is not the same as a contract offer NOW. Rams would only try to use the tag after 2018 in an effort of last resort to force AD to play in 2019. Though I am on record as saying I don't think that would work, since a player of his caliber could sit out and demand a trade, and the most likely outcome of that impasse would be that the Rams would have to trade him.
Anyway. I do not say the Rams ARE lowballing Donald now, in negotiations....what I say about
that is that we have no idea what the numbers really are.
