I was also including the last 2 regular season games that they HAD to win just to get into the playoff after that Monday night collapse against the Whiners. The regular season finale was in the snow in New England if I recall.
And I know Everett had a bad game, but lets remember that Niner team was one of the all time great teams, who if I remember correctly had both the #1 ranked offense and defense in the same year. I believe he had 2 solid to good games during the first two matchups.
If the defense doesn't collapse in the December matchup with the Niners, the season may have ended differently. I'm not saying the Rams would've necessarily beaten, maybe THE best Niner team of all time, for what would've been the third consecutive time, but it certainly wouldn't of been 30-3. By the time the Rams had to play multiple elimination games on the east coast, they had to have been both mentally and physically exhausted, not to mention any injuries.
