In terms of being wrong about Tavon, you already are. His own record, and that includes game tape and stats, shows you can use him more in the passing gam,e than McV did. It's just a fact. That's just a matter of the record.Tavon never beat a #1 corner more than once in a game---in 5 years. Not counting 5 yd bubbles; Tavon is not dependable 60 snaps a game, nor maybe 12 snaps a game. For $750K and a few splash plays a year, he is worth the money for sure!! As the #6 WR who comes in and does some stuff, he is not worth much---even as a punt returner McVay didn't want him.
He is not where he should be 100% of the time, and that is why the 'record' of tape is mostly worthless--yes, worthless....the Rams were awful and needed someone, and Tavon did some stuff on tape---that is for 12 year kids to gawk at---not adults. When the Rams got professional WRs, then Tavon was not even on the field as a WR. Being wrong isn't always fun-as Fish found out; McVay saw Tavon's inability to 'find' the detail in the route....and that is not permissable. Dak Prescott who scrambles and makes time may find some limited success with Austin---maybe. Tavon had 5 years to prove it, and he couldn't.
If we could 'bet' on Tavon's 2018 stats, I would. But, I am sure that is against board policy....so take that up in private. anytime.
