McVay came to several conclusions while giving Tavon a fair chance to perform within his proven system.
McVay determined that his O functioned more efficiently with Watkins, Woods, and Kupp as receivers, along with an occasional pass to Higbee. Running duties were best handled by Gurley. Return duties were in superb shape with Cooper.
It became a no brainer. Why “force” snaps to Tavon when others were having such success in McVay’s proven system?
I wish Tavon all the best in Dallas. He seems like a good guy and good teammate. But I won’t miss him in this O. Or miss his previous 5 year salary hits.
Moving him to Dallas was a win-win-win, perhaps. For the Rams, for Tavon, and maybe for Dallas.
