That everyone likes ...
You have to take him in the 4th.
But that doesn't make him a 4th round prospect.
Noteboom and Allen were reaches ... that doesn't mean they were bad picks.
It just means we know as an organization who is sought after and who will slide.
I don't know where we get our insider info but we seem to be really good at getting it.
Noteboom and Allen will redshirt while Kiser and Okoronkwo will likely start.
They were 3rd round prospects drafted in the 5th.
I question the whole idea of a draft prospect having a static value.
It seems to me that if a handful of NFL teams value someone in the 4th round and he's taken in that round, then he's a 4th round prospect.
OTOH, if every NFL team passes up a player through 4 rounds and he's drafted in the 5th round, he's a 5th round prospect. I'm not sure how a 5th round draftee can be a 3rd round prospect.
That's like saying that a player on the open free agent market is worth $20M but the highest offer from interested teams was $10M. This means the guy isn't a $20M player; he's a $10M player.
The market dictates his value, not some static and arbitrary valuation.
