then it has to do with how guys are hitting the opponents. The KO in and of itself is not in question, it's the way players are hitting each other. It is a violent game to the extent that men are hitting other men and they are all big men.
IMO you want to stop the hits from a head into another head, to do that if a guy hits another in such a manner he is off the team for 6 games. No questions, no getting a request in for abstaining the 6 games....6 games no if's and or buts.....You do realize that sometimes these concussions happen when a player falls down and is kicked in the head (sometimes by his own teammate). So how do you put an end to that....play in socks only?
Take away the KO and a lot of players will lose a job, no one is going to stack a team with players who do so little. IMO it's a mistake to take out a kickoff from the game, it's a part of the game, it's gets people on their feet to start the game.
A 6 game suspension would get the idea into players heads...it seems nothing else has had an influence in stopping a player from lowering a head and ramming into another player.....6 games off IMO would make them see the light. Keep the KO.
