We do know McV wanted to keep Watkins. Its just that KC offered the moon.
At any rate, i wonder what Cooks can do that Sammy couldnt. I know Sammy was bigger and stronger
and could outmuscle people in the redzone. Is there anything Cooks can do that Watkins cant?

I found that play in less than 2-3 minutes. If I can find it that fast, without trying, it means his theory is crap. What are the odds I can go to the Tenny game (he specified "late in season" and find it so fast and it NOT be something that is common?
I think Cooks is a fine player and Watkins is a fine player. I agree that Watkins was money on slants in red zone. And Cooks cannot do that. But he can run good routes, he's a good player, I have no ill will at all for him. I think Cooks is a big faster than Watkins. He's been helped by playing with 2 HOFers...but still, I like Cooks fine. He was expensive, it's a question of Watkins and a 1st or Cooks and a 4th this year and a 3rd next and Cooks is a lot cheaper this year, but will maybe be a $17 mil contract guy next year...we will see.
I just refuse to dump on Watkins because I carefully watched him this year. I do not know why he's so despised around here.
