You and I really don't differ on this.
My reaction was to Ferragamo's "WOW" and "pay the man".
Seeing Donald at the bottom of that list could elicit that reaction. I understand.
But while we don't know what the exact negotiation differences are, or who we would, so to speak, "blame" if we did, we DO know that the Rams have agreed to negotiate with Aaron Donald, and that they have offered a salary that would put him near or at the top of that list.
Therefore, for me, I do not feel a "wow" moment seeing him down at the bottom of the list, because I know he could change that any time he wants to.
The fact that he hasn't gotten what he wants yet is his own business, but not simply a matter of the Rams refusing to "pay" him.
This is different than the Rams just saying "you're under contract, and you'll get what you agreed to as a rookie, and not a penny more."
NONE of the above is intended to be taking sides for or against Donald and or the Rams. I don't have a figure that I think he "should" be paid.
I just hope they can reach an agreement that is satisfying and ultimately successful for both sides. Sooner would be better from my point of view.
Ramily!
