One of the complaints I had with the offense is while the totality is so refreshing with tremendous space management and variety, the individuals are kind of blocked into a role. Watkins was not used anyway in the areas where he may be better than Cooks being a physical receiver in the short passing game. His job was simply to go deep other than some targeted plays in the redzone.

While I believe Watkins may end up being a better player with the Chiefs if he stays healthy, he was not going to be that with the Rams in this boxed in role.

Cooks is the better fit for what he will be asked to do and you can't argue with the production of 3 1000 yard seasons.
