we'll see....I kinda want a trade down cuz I think we can get multiple 2s & 3s - even tho the value chart says otherwise...it all depends on the free market and all one needs is ONE team to get a little anxious and throw some more picks our way...but that's just me. I like getting more picks cuz we've beend drafting pretty well the last few years and I beleive we can get good value in the 2nd - 5th round range and would like to stock up over just 1 player at#23....UNLESS, as I said, a stud drops...then Snead will really have to think about that.
If we do not use that #23 pick to trade down, I'd be surprised...cuz that's the money/value pick that'll get us a bunch of picks in return..
well, not a bunch but maybe 2 or 3...and we got 2 starters in the 3rd round last year...I think there are more to be had again this year...
guys like Kupp & JJIII...who could help us. However, zn has posted a valid argument for LT
(only) in the 1st round so I could see us doin that there and NOT trading down.
The great thing is we will be needing an entire OL next year 4/5s practically...and many of THOSE types
(OGs, OCs RTs) can be drafted and developed from the 2nd to 6th rounds. imo
That's why I want MORE picks as we could draft 4 out of 5 of the replacements in later rounds...and go 1st round LT this year or next to finish off the rebuilding. I like drafting a majority of the OL...THIS year so they get to sit/watch/learn from Whit/Saffold/Sully while they fix their flabby bodies during the offseason next year and get a bit of experience too.
Anyway, you said it well.
