You know, a couple of thoughts occur to me.
First one is that maybe, just maybe, they now feel that with their stunning secondary, not to mention having added Suh to make that DL beastly, that they can kinda “cheat” on the LB corps as far as devoting very high draft picks to it? IOW, maybe they would now prefer to look more at LOT, WR, or even (gasp) interior OL if a stud is sitting there? Might be a good long term plan for the future.
The other thought is that a trade down just might be something that Snead would love to do IF he sees good value for needed positions in the 2nd and 3rd round plateau. I know that this trade down is not an original thought by any means, I’m just saying that it’s growing on me more and more.
